Salesforce and the importance of Salesforce adoption
According to “The State of Salesforce 2023–24”, about 150.000 companies worldwide use the Salesforce CRM platform. Only a small percentage of these companies outperform with a 40% higher revenue per Salesforce license. These top-performers are adaptable and are consistently implementing the best courses of action, regardless of what the economy is doing.
The report also stated that the IBM Institute for Business Value conducted market research, including surveys of more than 3000 Salesforce users, to determine what the leading businesses are doing and how other companies are using the Salesforce platform. The research resulted in identifying 4 groups based on how they utilize Salesforce and the success they have with it.
These organizations are:
Pioneers; maximizing their Salesforce potential, high integration, consistently adapting to Salesforce innovations.
Prepared; investing in innovative industry tools, on occasion manage change, but do innovate effectively.
Prudent; consistent in change management, cautiously experimenting with innovative solutions, working with limited cloud solutions but struggling with innovation.
Pensive; do not use their Salesforce investment well, they don’t utilize industry solutions and no or little progress in transformation.
